Dear you,
Today my heart became your target range, and believe it or not I managed to smile as you shot a metal bullet right through the core. You’d have looked at the bloody mess at my feet, an explosion of betrayal, and as the pool of my blood inched towards your shoes you’d have stepped back. I’m trapped at a crossroads, darling, and no matter how far I run the thought of you destroys me like a flesh-eating disease. I can’t let you go. Today you almost wondered aloud what made me this heartless, and if you’d have asked I’d have told you, but you didn’t bother, so neither did I.
